We were on the Glory for the New Year’s cruise to the western Carib in 6233 on Upper deck. It’s an inside cabin, did not feel claustrophobic, and allowed us to sleep late when we wanted because of the total darkness. It’s right above the Amber Palace, and you can hear the shows going on underneath as if you’re in the lounge. We knew that going in, but figured that the shows are over by 11:30-12:00, and we’re not going to sleep earlier than that anyway. So far, so good, but one night they had an unannounced private party in the Amber, with loud music and BAD karaoke singing, until 2am. Had to get up early the next morning to tender in for an excursion. Carnival’s attitude so far has been, “Gee, we wish that didn’t happen”, as if it were forces beyond their control.
Just be aware that they might spring this on you if you’re anywhere above the Amber Palace.
