the balcony is narrow.
I just wanted to let you know that we did enjoy cabin 5107 on the Pride. Other than an occasional hair dryer sound next door, we heard nothing.
Thank goodness they were not smokers as we could smell hair spray in the morning. All in all it was a great cabin, loved the balcony, even had a lounge chair. We napped daily on the balcony.
It’s a cabin that sleeps 4 people. Convenient to the midhship atrium elevators (glass elevators)
You are above and below cabin space and away from public areas. your view out to sea is unobstructed. You can even look down in the waters
When your door is closed you wont hear anything. The elevators– you have to be listening when you are standing there waiting for them.
There is a wall outside your cabin door- there will be small glass inserts to look out. The entrance is a few doors away from you. Where it says atrium…those are the glass elevators.
We had this cabin on our cruise last week. Every time there was any noticeable ocean movement, there was a creaking that seemed to come from somewhere in the upper walls/soffit/ceiling area. It never happened when we were docked or very calm seas. We mentioned it to guest services who seemed to act like we were nuts, and said they would send someone to look at it. Two days (and sleepless nights) later, they called to see if the problem was ‘fixed’, but the seas were calm and no noise, so we couldn’t say.
We also noticed as we walked down our hallways you could hear the creaking every few cabins. I didn’t have a chance to see if the noise was there on other decks.
Several other passengers said they had the same noise in their cabin. It was somewhere between a creaking, knocking, or rolling noise.
There was some noise from above but not much of a problem and the room layout, balcony and location more than made up for any noise we heard. We really loved this room.
