The rooms are obstructed by the life boats, but you do have french doors that will open, so you can get some fresh air and light. It's a good location near the elevators, but not much noise from the hallway.

We had 8334 on Destiny back in 2003. It spoiled us and I'll probably never be able to talk my DW into cruising without a balcony again. We didn't notice any problems with excessive motion but then we're not prone to motion sickness. I love aft facing balconies because you get to see things from both sides of the ship. I would wonder what I'm missing from the other side if I took a port or starboard balcony. My favorite part of having an aft balcony is sitting there and watching the sea and the wake roll out into the distance.

We were in cabin 6373 on Oct. 21 and if I had it to do again I would take it in a heartbeat. I don't get motion sickness so the rocking didn't bother me (it was only bad one night - we were in front of TS Noel). The rocking motion kind of puts you to sleep. The room is pretty good size - in comparison to other cabins I really don't know. There is a king size bed and a couch in there. The bathroom is pretty small. Don't leave anything on the bathroom floor while you're taking a shower cause sometimes the floor would flood. The balcony is enormous. On the back side the divider is slanted so you can see your neighbors if you are standing at the rail and the divider on the side is kind of like a door (but it can't be opened).

Stateroom in the back of the ship. When we were in the room we had periods of seasickness due to the movement in this area of the ship. It wasn't moving that much most of the time.

We stayed on the Elation and it happens that this was a great cabin in a very convenient location on the ship. Was near the elevators but there was no noise from them at all.

Don't book 6456 or 6458 Carnival Conquest, right above the lounge, very loud, and for some reason people above you like to throw food and drinks down on your deck...

Wanted to add my feedback on a Spirit class (Pride) Cat 11 aft wrap. My DH and I were in cabin 6260. Our sailing was March 2-9, 2008. I had a love/hate relationship with this cabin. I just think this cabin has a lot of wasted space. The hallway and bar area are a waste. The sitting area is a joke. You are elbow to elbow if you want to watch tv, have a room service snack, use the tiny end table and sit in the 2 chairs. This cabin would have added so much more room if they could have used the makeup/vanity room to add to the space. There are floor to ceiling windows the length of the cabin, which is nice. The bedroom is fine, closet was kind of small. We needed several extra hangers, brought to us in a timely manner. We loved the spa tub, don't need 2 sinks in the bathroom. The balcony: Well, yes it is large, with a wonderful wake view. Yes, we had a soot issue. You have to remember to wipe off your chair everytime you sit down. Even if you go in for a drink, when you come out, you could have soot on your chair. You also have to remember to wipe your feet well on the mat right inside the door from the balcony. Our carpet was spotted with soot from the balcony that had been tracked in. On arrival, we only had the 2 new upright chairs and metal table. I asked our steward for a lounger and he said it was against fire rules. The second morning, our steward showed up with another facilities type person, carrying a lounge chair into our cabin. He told me they had just brought the new fire-proof chairs on in Long Beach. Cool! Except for the fact that they couldn't get it out on the balcony because of the narrow space between that dratted makeup room and the balcony door. At that point, I was so frustrated, I wanted them to saw it in half and get some duct tape and put it back together (JK)! They ended up going into the cabin around the curve, opening the divider, and bringing it in that way. Yes! This proved to be important, as the pool decks were so windy and cold on this sailing, our aft cabin was the only place I could lay out and read on a few days. Bottom line: Would I choose this cabin again? Probably not. A little too cramped in the living area. Only place you could have visitors is on the balcony. Liked that you could shut off the bedroom from the rest of the cabin. DH is an early riser, I am so not. This is one of those cabins that you have to try, it may or may not fit your lifestyle.

I sailed on the Valor in January 2008 and we had one of the 9A wrap around balconies on the Verandah Deck. As the Lido deck was just above us I was somewhat disappointed with the constant noise of the deck chairs being moved around when you were trying to sleep. As well, the room is located right next to a stairwell, which adds to the noise factor. Every morning at about 05:00 A.M. the staff would rearrange the deck chairs above us, so don't plan on sleeping past 05:00.... Every morning we would find cigarette butts, the occasional food items (Ice Cream Cones) and litter on our balcony, as people would usually have an ice cream cone or cigarette on the back of the ship on the deck above the Lido deck and throw their cigarettes and food off the back of the ship, not realizing the wind currents drag them back on to the aft balconies. As well, when you try and suntan on the balcony anyone looking out the glass windows on the Lido Deck can see right on to your balcony, so you don't have as much privacy as you would on other balconies. Next time I would definitely rather book a category 8 balcony over a 9A....

Don't book room #7369 on the Conquest - or anything near it, or on the exact opposite side. All that empty space in the middle is Crew work areas and we heard constant noise (including both vacuuming and moving stuff in the middle of the night and VERY early in a.m.) There were always fans, vacuums and carts blocking parts of the hallway around the room and there was a bit of a icky smell coming out of the area. It was so bad, that I've had to convince my hubby to do Carnival again, he wanted to try another line for a change.

We had this cabin, 9390, on Voyager on her Carrib cruise 20-27 April '08. It is the starboard side aft balcony on deck 9, and is a cat E1. We found the cabin to be a bit small from what we were expecting for an E1. There are no poles or supports in the cabin itself. The bed (made up into a queen) allowed for minimal movement between itself and the aft wall, meaning you could get in the bed from that side approaching sideways. The "sitting area" is minimal with a small loveseat. The shower has a door instead of a shower curtain, which was nice. Water pressure was good, and hot water quick to appear. Access to the balcony it through a swinging door rather than a slider. The balcony is an odd shape owing to the location of the cabin. There is a support beam crossing the right side of the balcony which takes up some of the space. There is room for lounger seating. We had rather calm seas during this cruise so we didn't notice any ocean related movement. There was vibration from the engines/propellers while underway. After the first day we didn't notice and was not an annoyance. People sensitive to this may want to take note. Walking distance to the nearest elevators is a bit of a hike and some folks don't like this, but to us it was OK. The hallway was extremely QUIET. All in all, we enjoyed this cabin and the minor dislikes did not detract from what be the best cruise we've ever had. Would we book it again?? I don't think so. Would we book an aft balcony again? DEFINITELY! But, more toward the centerline of the ship

We just got off the Miracle 5/17 - 25 and we had cabin 5268 aft. we really enjoyed this cabin and our cabin stewart was great. It had a sofa and plenty of closet space. We also enjoyed the balcony. There was only 2 days towards the end of the cruise that we found soot on our deck chairs. They had 2 decks chairs the mesh kind and 1 small table. It was so enjoyable to sit out there and listen to and see the wake. Loved the panaromic view. Early in the morning we found the chairs to be wet from them cleaning the windows, but they would dry pretty quickly. We did make use out of balcony. We did not find it to hot except for 1 day returning from Tortola, but it was tolorable. All the other days we had some shade and some sun. We would def book this cabin again.

Carnival Liberty - Sort of "S-Shaped" You walk into room with TV, Couch (hide-a-bed) and closets(only 2-no shelves)/dresser. A short right and you face the mini-fridge then twin bed if you turn left. Bath is if you turn right. Actually like a nice little "apartment". Only drawbacks-BOOM, BOOM if the seas are even slightly rough. Very long walk to dinner (get cookies from the lido) but very short walk to shows and tenders. Can't watch TV from bed...but re-arrange cushions on couch and bring a pillow from the bed and fine. They really should sell this just as a single w/o supplement though.

My wife and I had this cabin in December 2005. The air conditioner was broken and an ice box cooler was the recourse. This took up a lot of space in an already small room. My only other negative is that the twin beds, pushed together to make a queen did not stay together very well. Every night the beds pulled apart some which was uncomfortable. Overall the room was good. We received prompt attention to the air conditioner problem even if the solution was cumbersome. We never complained about the beds but have since learned that this is not a problem that occurs on all cruises, so our expectations have been raised since this cruise. The space was well utilized maximizing the available storage. The service of the room steward is the best we have ever recieved on any cruise. The cabin was dark and quiet which is exactly why we like inside cabins, best for napping during the day. The cruise was fantastic and the ship was great.

Sailed on Freedom, Dec. 2007. Loved this corner room. We could see port & starboard sides when in ports. The balcony was huge-it had 2 chairs & table, 2 lounge chairs and was fairly private. The drawbacks: small shower, and when docking we could feel the thrusters rumble, but after the first morning we mostly slept thru it. Don't book this cabin if you don't want to feel the rocking of the ship. To us it was like being rocked to sleep!

Sailed this room on the Carnival Imagination. It was an oceanview stateroom with one big window. We liked it, but every time the ship pulled in and out of port, you could feel and hear the vibrations of the thrusters.

I am sorry...I do not have pictures of this stateroom. The room is small, but the bed was comfortable. If you enjoy sleeping in, avoid this room. It is directly below the pool deck and they start sliding chairs around 5:00 a.m. We also had family in 8302, 8290 and 8292 and they had difficulty sleeping.

Run away as fast as you can from this room. There is constant vibration and noise from the propeller that is larger than anything I have ever felt aft. I spent several sleepless nights hoping for sleep that never came.
